Swine Flu
February 2010 - Swine flu vaccinations are still available to the following groups of patients:
All babies and children aged 6mths - 5th birthday (eligible until 31/3/10)
and patients in the following 'at risk' categories (aged 6mths - 100+yrs)
Diabetics, Asthmatics, Pregnant ladies
Patients who suffer with COPD, Heart Disease, Stroke & TIA, MS, liver disease & Immunosuppressed patients
Carers are also entitled to a vaccination
If you are in one of these categories and you would like the Swine flu vaccination please contact the surgery and make an appointment with one of our Nurses.

Extended Hours
We are now offering an extended hours surgery on Monday evenings (6.30pm-8.30pm) aimed at people with busy lives who find it difficult to visit the Doctor during normal surgery times.
WiFi
The Partners at the Practice have funded WiFi for the convenience of their patients whilst they are in the surgery. The connection number is 0123456789; please feel free to use this facility when you are with us.
Dispensary Hatch
As you may (or may not!) have noticed there is now an opening in the wall to the Dispensary, we hope to have this open and up and running in the very near future. There will be a push buzzer on the wall near the hatch to be used to call a Dispenser.
The Dispenser will be available to answer any queries you may have regarding medications during surgery opening hours.
Repeat medications for collection should still be collected from the reception desk as usual.
Dispensing of medications
This facility is in danger of being stopped by our current government, please see the poster which is on the wall in the waiting room for further information. If you feel strongly about this, please write to your local MP.
Patient Surveys
The Department of Health are periodically sending out questionnaires to patients to be completed anonymously and returned to them. The questions enable them to gather patients views on our Practice and will also enable them to compare us to other Practices. If you receive one of these questionnaires please complete it with honest answers and return it in the pre-paid envelope.
Coil & Implant Clinic
Dr Christine Thompson is now fully trained to fit coils and implants for contraception; please contact the surgery if you would like to make an appointment to discuss these contraceptive options with her. A list of clinic days and times will be available on our website shortly.
