FLU VACCINATIONS

For patients who have received an invite or who fit at least one of the following criteria:

You are aged 65 years or over

You suffer with any of the following conditions:

Diabetes/COPD inc. emphysema, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia,/Asthma/Chronic Heart disease/Immunosuppression/ chronic kidney disease stage 4 or 5 inc chronic kidney failure, nephrotic syndrome & kidney transplantation/chronic liver disease inc. cirrhosis, biliary artesia & chronic hepaptitis/Stroke inc TIA, MS, cerebral palsy & degenerative disease of the nervouse system/ if you are currently a carer or are currently pregnant.

Free Chlamydia testing for 15 - 24 year olds  male & female patients:

If you are aged between 15 & 24 years old and would like to take a free test, please pick up a test kit either from Reception, the GP or from the box which is situated in the corridor next to the disabled patients toilet. There is a 'post box' in the disabled toilet in to which you can post your named & labelled sample. This service is completely confidential and can/should  be used each time you have a new partner or at lease on an annual basis.

Extended Hours
We are now offering an extended hours surgery on Monday evenings (6.30pm-7.30pm) and during the week Tuesdays - Fridays between 7.30am & 8.20am aimed at people with busy lives who find it difficult to visit the Doctor during normal surgery times.

WiFi
The Partners at the Practice have funded WiFi for the convenience of their patients whilst they are in the surgery. The connection number is 0123456789; please feel free to use this facility when you are with us.

Patient Surveys
The Department of Health are periodically sending out questionnaires to patients to be completed anonymously and returned to them. The questions enable them to gather patients views on our Practice and will also enable them to compare us to other Practices. If you receive one of these questionnaires please complete it with honest answers and return it in the pre-paid envelope.


Coil & Implant Clinic
Dr Christine Thompson fits coils and implants for contraception; please contact the surgery if you would like to make an appointment to discuss all the contraception options with her.
