We are now a parkrun practice! This is an initiative supported by The Royal College of General practitioners and we will collaborate closely with our local parkrun which is held every Saturday morning at KLB School (GL12 8RB behind the astro turf pitches) at 9am.
We hope to:
Improve the health and wellbeing of practice staff; improve the health and wellbeing of patients; Reduce the need for lifelong medication.
Help develop a local community and environment centered on wellness; Support a UK wide movement to scale up social prescribing activities.
It is important to understand parkrun can mean Walking or Running (or even a mixture!) There is always a tail walker so you can never be too slow or last!
There are also opportunities to help out or volunteer to marshall the events.
